Gartner Symposium: BYOD is fundamentally changing mobile security

The prevalence of “iDevices,”the bring-your-own-devices (BYOD) trend and the shift from Blackberry to Apple and Google devices are among  the major challenges to mobile security today.  “BYOD has changed it fundamentally,” said John McCormack, global president of Websense.

McCormack talked with RCR Wireless News during this week’s Gartner Symposium in São Paulo. He also commented about the policies companies need to define in order to deal with this new environment. “Customers are less and less interested in the Blackberry platform now. That’s unfortunate because that was a very secure environment,” he said. Check out the entire interview in the video below:
