Acquisitions focus on personalized digital offerings
Amdocs has acquired three new companies for a combined total of $260 million, picking up Silicon Valley-based Vindicia, Brite:Bill in Dublin and Tel Aviv-based Pontis.
Vindicia does software-as-a-service subscription management and payment offerings for onboarding customers and supporting payments for digital content, on-demand services and over-the-top content as well as customer retention and churn reduction through resolving failed payment transactions. The company relies on cloud infrastructure for fast time to market.
Brite:Bill provides consumer and corporate billing, with an emphasis on personalized, interactive online bills that are easy to understand and include customer engagement and new service promotions. The company already works with Canadian telecom company Rogers as well as Sprint, among other customers, and was named a Gartner “cool vendor” in 2014.
Pontis focuses on digital customer engagement, relying on real-time analysis to provide contextual interactions and “next best action” recommendations for customer relationships. Pontis said it already serves 600 million end users; its customers include Vodafone, TIM, T-Mobile US and Telefónica. It was recently recognized as one of the 100 “most promising” big data providers by CIOReview.
Eli Gelman, Amdocs president and CEO, said in a statement that the acquisitions reflect its digital strategy and help position it as a market leader, and that they augment its current offerings and will shorten its time to market.
Amdocs said that the three companies were comparably priced and are expected to add between 1.5% and 2% to company revenue for its fiscal 2017.
