The growing surge of mobile devices, as evidenced by the myriad display of smart phones and tablets at Computex 2010, combined with near-glacial pace of battery technology almost ensure ARM chips, with their battery sipping ways, continue to play starring roles in dedicated mobile devices.
The war between x86 and ARM platforms has heated up here at Computex Taipei with various vendors battling it out in a veritable war of words. Interestingly enough, even between x86 makers like Intel and VIA there are differences in perspectives on what is the right platform to use for devices like MIDs and tablets.
Here at Computex 2010 both Asus and MSI have stated their commitment to the clouds, with their future mobile eco-system, including the latest Tablets and Pads, maintaining some lofty co-operation.
