MOBILECOMM INTRODUCES OCCASIONAL TRAVEL SERVICE

JACKSON, Miss.-MobileComm is introducing CityLink Now&Then, designed to meet the needs of infrequent travelers. Customers who are going outside of their local coverage area can activate the service via the telephone. Using a touch-tone phone, paging coverage can be forwarded to another location.

The service is $10.95 for up to 200 messages per month. A flat rate of $5 per day is charged when coverage is forwarded to another location.

“The service is perfect for anyone who travels as infrequently as once a month to a regional meeting or visit away from home,” said Glynn Ingram, senior vice president of MobileComm Nationwide Messaging. The subscriber can pay for out-of-town service as it’s needed, Ingram said.

MobileComm is a wholly owned subsidiary of BellSouth Corp. and is a nationwide provider of paging, voice mail and messaging service.
