TGA PUTS PAGING SYSTEM INTO MOSCOW AND CHINA

ATLANTA-TGA Systems Inc. has installed a TGA Prism II paging system in Russia for start-up Moscow operator, Conversion-7. TGA also has expanded its Prism II terminal in Changzhou, China.

Conversion-7 will use the multilingual feature of Prism II for stored voice and operator functions for message trafficking. The contract called for a turnkey system including transmitters and link equipment supplied by ERG Telecommunications of Australia.

In Changzhou, the original terminal was installed early in 1994 with an initial capacity of 140,000 subscribers. To meet the growing demand for paging, capacity is being expanded to 240,000 subscribers on four radio channels, TGA said.
