ERICSSON EXPANSION WORTH $65M IN CHINA

STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Ericsson Company Ltd. said it has signed a Global System for Mobile communications digital network expansion contract with Jiangsu Posts and Telecommunications Administration in the Jiangsu province of China. The expansion includes equipment and services, Ericsson said.

Ericsson said it also has an ongoing agreement with the Jiangsu Post to supply analog total access communications mobile infrastructure and AXE switching exchanges for the Jiangsu public telephone network. Ericsson said it expects the network to be in service by the end of November.
