ATLANTA-Intellivoice Communications Inc. said Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile will be using its EasyDial software and equipment to support its new voice-activated dialing service.
The company is planning a complete network rollout of the new service, which will be marketed under the name TalkDial. The service features a user friendly and highly accurate speech recognition interface for voice-activated dialing, Intellivoice said.
TalkDial customers will be able to dial a cellular call by speaking the number to be dialed or by speaking a name from their personal directory. The system also features a self-learning speech recognition error detection and correction technique that improves the performance and accuracy of the EasyDial application for individual subscribers by tracking and adapting to their dialing patterns and voice characteristics over time, Intellivoice said.
