CALGARY, Alberta, Canada-Isotel Research and Steinbrecher Corp. announced Isotel has been selected to provide digital cellular software based on the North American Interim Standard-136 Time Division Multiple Access technology for use in Steinbrecher’s base station products.
Steinbrecher is developing proprietary, wideband base station products for use by cellular carriers. Its technology and products will provide dual-mode analog and digital capabilities for macrocellular, campus and in-building cellular telecommunications, the companies said. Isotel has developed the call processing software to support Advanced Mobile Phone Service and IS-136 telecommunications, and will provide this software to Steinbrecher.
