TEMPE, Ariz.-Cellexis International Inc. has added a preliminary injunction request to the $525 million lawsuit it filed earlier this month against General Telephone Electronics Corp. and Open Development Corp.
Cellexis alleges that GTE and ODC violated a Confidential Disclosure Agreement, stole the company’s patent-pending prepaid cellular phone technology and then went to market with it.
Brad Bishop, vice president of marketing at ODC replied that the allegations against his company were completely without basis or merit and he was pleased that the injunction request would now send the issue to a judge and bring it to a swift conclusion. GTE said its policy is not to comment on litigation.
