BellSouth Mobility provides coverage for 34th GSM MoU
ATLANTA-BellSouth Mobility DCS (a subsidiary of BellSouth Corp.), Lucent Technologies Inc. and the Swiss PTT worked together to provide Global System for Mobile communications coverage at the 34th GSM MoU Association meeting in Atlanta last week.
The companies said this was the first time the Plenary GSM MoU Association had met in the United States. All 275 delegates from around the world were encouraged to bring their GSM handsets and were able to make and receive calls worldwide while in the hotel and conference center during the meeting, as long as their cellular operator had a roaming agreement with the Swiss PTT.
