REDMOND, Wash.-Antenna manufacturer Metawave Communications Corp. announced it has completed a new round of investment capital financing totaling more than $9 million, bringing the company’s total investment to $14.5 million.
Proceeds from this latest round of funding will be used for the company’s summer launch of the SpotLight Multibeam Antenna Platform and production of the Echo Coverage Enhancer for personal communications services providers implementing Code Division Multiple Access technology, said the company.
Each of Metawave’s initial venture capital firms-Venrock Associates, Oak Investment Partners and Sevin Rosen Funds-contributed an equal share in this round of financing, Metawave said.
