DALLAS-MobileWare Corp. and AT&T Wireless Services Inc. announced an agreement to participate in joint sales and marketing activities for MobileWare software and wireless data services from AT&T’s Wireless Data Division.
Under the agreement, MobileWare and AT&T Wireless will train sales and technical field support, as well as engage in joint marketing and promotional activities for each other’s products and services. The companies said they also will continue to focus on development activities to support new Internet transaction agent technology.
Customers with Microsoft Windows ’95 now can use MobileWare’s agent-based transaction management software and AT&T’s wireless data service to send and receive wireless e-mail and faxes, track changes they make to their e-mail folders and sync up these folders with those on their corporate local area network, said the companies.
“The AT&T Wireless Services, Wireless Data Division sales teams have been using MobileWare solutions to easily demonstrate wireless e-mail, fax, print and file transfer capabilities over our CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) and circuit-switched networks,” said Len Bargellini, strategic relations manager for AT&T Wireless.
