PageMart Inc. has appointed Richard Nelson president of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, PageMart International. Nelson, formerly vice president of marketing for PageMart, will focus his efforts on extending the company’s wireless network throughout North America and then pursue other international markets. Nelson comes to PageMart from American Airlines.

Open Development Corp. has hired three executives to oversee finance, sales and product management. The company named Thomas Dimino chief financial officer and treasurer. Dimino will direct company finances and manage ODC’s financial staff. Prior to joining the company, he was with the accounting firm Vitale, Caturano and Co. for 13 years where he was a staff accountant before he was named a partner in 1992.

Canby Dautel is now vice president of sales with responsibility for all domestic and international direct sales relationships, including original equipment manufacturer channel relationships. Previously, Dautel served as director of sales at Voice Processing Corp.

ODC appointed Edward Hixon director of product management. He will oversee product direction as well as a staff of product managers. Hixon was product manager of enhanced services solutions for Harris Digital Telephone systems before joining the company.

Richard M. Jankowski has been named president and chief operating officer of Greenville, N.C.-based LBA Technology Inc. He will be responsible for manufacturing and marketing the firm’s specialized electronic and radio frequency-related products in the United States and worldwide. Jankowski has more than 25 years of experience in industrial operations and manufacturing, including past positions with General Motors and Hammond Electronics.

Bob Ratliffe now is the vice president of communications for Nextel Communications Inc. of Rutherford, N.J. Ratliffe also is vice president of Eagle River Inc., the holding company of wireless entrepreneur Craig McCaw. Eagle River is a majority investor in Nextel.

Geotek Communications Inc. has appointed a senior executive team to manage its newly formed technology and equipmelt company, Geotek Technologies Inc.

Dr. Yosef Rockah has been named chief technolmgy officer. He joins Geotek from Rafael, the communications research and development arm of the Israeli military and the developer of the core Frequency Hopping Multiple Access technology. Rockah held a number of high level posts at Rafael, including director of advanced programs of the Electronic Systems Division. He will oversee technology development in his lew position.

Mota Zussman is now vice president of Digital Networks with responsibilities for intepnational design and implementation of FHMA networks. Zussman joined Geotek in October 1994 as vice president of development for Geotek’s Israeli operations, formerly known as PowerSpectrum Technologies Ltd. Previously, he headed Rafael’s Electronic Warfare Directorate and Electromagnetic and Microwave Departments.

Geotek appointed Tamir Friedrich general manager of Israeli operations. He joined the company in August 1993 as vice president of engineering where he managed a number of engineering and terminal projects. Friedrich will lead Geotek’s research and development operations in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
