LE MANS, France-Philips Electronics North America Corp. has appointed Osmo Hautanen president of Philips Consumer Communications Co., a seven-month-old Le Mans, France-based subsidiary of Philips Electronics.
Hautanen will oversee Philips’ launch of telecommunications devices, including cellular and wireline phones, answering machines and pagers, throughout the Americas. He joins the company after 18 years with Nokia Mobile Phones America Inc., where he spent the last two years as vice president and general manager of the Personal Communications Systems division.
