OLYMPIA, Wash.-Illuminet and Northern Telecom Inc. announced they expanded their personal communications services equipment agreement to include Global System for Mobile communications technology in addition to Code Division Multiple Access technology.
Illuminet said the amended agreement allows small companies and other PCS entrepreneurs to purchase PCS network equipment at discount prices.
Illuminet customers become eligible for volume discounts by submitting joint orders for Nortel’s PCS base stations and other wireless equipment.
