EL DORADO HILLS, Calif.-International Billing Services, a subsidiary of USCS International, has reached technology agreement with AT&T Corp. under which IBS will provide software technology that will aid AT&T in controlling the production of billing statements sent to its consumer and small business customers every month.
The agreement provides for both the licensing of software technology to AT&T and professional services to tailor the software to AT&T’s statement processing options.
“We view IBS as an important resource upon which to draw as we enhance our customer billing operations,” said Jerry Batt, billing systems vice president at AT&T. “We selected IBS as our technology partner because their software is both state-of-the-art and has a proven track record creating high-quality customer statements in a high-volume production environment.”
El Doradoa Hills, Calif.-based IBS said its two statement processing centures process and produce more than 65 million statements each month on behalf of communications and cable TV companies. The company said it provides services to 33 percent of all cellular telephone subscribers in the United States, 53 percent of all U.S. cable television subscribers and 9 percent of all landline telephone subscribers.
The agreement with AT&T “represents both a new, strategic dimension to our business, as well as a strong foundation upon which we hope to build a lasting relationship,” said Randy Lintecum, IBS president.
