SAN FRANCISCO-Cellular One in San Francisco, a partnership of AirTouch Communications Inc. and AT&T Wireless Services Inc., announced it is adding its own cellular long-distance service.
Cellular One said customers now can receive all of their cellular charges, local air time and long distance on one bill. The company said its long distance rates are 10 percent lower than AT&T Corp.’s standard cellular long-distance rates.
“In addition to the potential cost savings and the convenience of receiving all of their charges on one bill, customers can also have all of their billing questions answered through one customer care center,” said Rich Weiss, product marketing manager for Cellular One.
Cellular One said both new and current customers can take advantage of its long-distance service. New customers will sign up for long distance when they activate their service. Existing customers can select the new long-distance service by contacting the company’s customer care department or sending in a response card that is being mailed to them.
