WDA, STA PARTNER TO HELP RESELLERS

HOUSTON, Texas-The Wireless Dealers Association has teamed with STA Telecommunications Corp. to provide the association’s wireless agents, dealers and resellers with a new revenue-building program-selling long-distance services.

WDA said the program will provide an opportunity to develop highly profitable, long-term alternative revenue.

“STA Telecommunications found through its research in 1995 that wireless dealers across the country would become one of the fastest growing long-distance distribution systems after the telecom bill was signed into law,” said WDA President and founder Bob Hutchinson. “Our members need strong new revenues-STA committed to supply those needs and the WIN-WDA program was developed.”

STA Telecommunications, based in Dallas, provides interstate, intrastate and international calling plans, calling cards and debit cards to residential and business users through WDA members throughout the country, said WDA.

The association said the WIN-WDA program will bring in 10 percent residuals and competitive flat rates along with partial ownership accrual of the customer to WDA members.

“This equity position has never been offered by any carrier in the telecom business,” said Hutchinson. “WDA members’ WIN-WDA customer base will grow and their equity will increase to provide a large business asset that can be sold, traded, merged or multiplied in a future acquisition or public offering situation.”
