MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Celcore Inc., a wireless infrastructure equipment developer, has agreed to supply United States Cellular Corp. with the GlobalHub intelligent network platform. GlobalHub will be used in conjunction with United States Cellular’s CarryPhone Home and Away product, which provides one-number access to a user’s home, work and cellular location.
“Today, wireless customers want more than just mobility. They also want flexibility, convenience and easy-to-use services,” said Patrick Herron, director of Product and Business Development for United States Cellular. “With the GlobalHub supporting our CarryPhone Home and Away product, our customers will enjoy the convenience of a cordless with the mobility of a cellular in a single package.”
The initial deployment will be in Knoxville later this year, the company said.
