RALEIGH, N.C.-North Sight Communications Inc. of Levittown, Puerto Rico, has selected SmartLink Development L.P. to supply and install a multiprotocol trunking and networking system behind its 800 MHz channels throughout Puerto Rico.
North Sight will use SmartLink’s trunking and networking controllers behind its repeaters and will use spread spectrum radio tied to SmartLink’s SiteLink Digital Multiplexer for linking all tower sites together, said SmartLink. North Sight will be able to offer customers real-time networking services throughout Puerto Rico, as well as hand-off of calls in progress and cross banding. The system is scheduled to be installed in October.
