KEYCORP’S PHONE PROVIDES ACCESS TO BANKING DATA

CLEVELAND-The private banking division of Cleveland-based KeyCorp is introducing a cellular phone that lets customers do banking and investing anytime and anywhere they want.

The KeyMobile phone was developed by Realogic Inc. and is based on Pacific Communications Sciences Inc.’s PAL phone and Unwired Planet Inc.’s UP.Link software platform. GTE Mobilnet Inc. will provide Cellular Digital Packet Data transmission services for the device in the Cleveland/Akron, Ohio, market, where a pilot program will be introduced next month.
