BT TO OFFER SBC SERVICE PLATFORMS

WAKEFIELD, Mass.-Boston Technology Inc. said it will provide hardware, software and services to SBC Communications Inc. for enhanced telecommunications services.

According to the agreement, Boston Technology will supply its Access NP and CO Access Network Services Platforms, associated software and service applications. Boston Technology values the deal at $60 million.

Deployment of the service is scheduled to begin next month with a technical trial of Universal Mailbox, a single mailbox for customers’ landline and wireless communication services, and voice messaging service.
