WASHINGTON-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. will use the Cibernet On-line Roaming Database to administer and exchange carrier market data used in roaming. The database allows carriers to update their roaming data online for immediate use by roaming partners.
CORD transfers data such as home carrier’s name and contact information, billing vendor’s name, a user profile, system identification numbers and billing identification numbers, service area information, switch information, NPA/NXX range and a list of roaming agreements.
“As a leader in the wireless industry, we recognize the value of instantaneous communication with our roaming partners and system vendors,” said Steve Hooper, president and chief executive officer of AT&T Wireless Services. “CORD will keep us on the cutting edge, and will allow us to better serve our roaming customers wherever they go.”
