LITTLE CHUTE, Wis.-Airadigm Communications made what it says are the first C-block personal communications services calls in the its Wisconsin markets. Calls were made by George Benson, Airadigm’s chief executive officer, and Airadigm President Carl Artman, to media in Appleton, Green Bay and Madison, Wis.
“We are very excited to be the first C-block PCS provider,” said Artman. “This is a revolutionary technology and we want to bring that revolution to the small towns and medium-sized cities of Wisconsin and Iowa. There is no reason that it should only be available in New York or Los Angeles.”
Airadigm holds C-block licenses in 13 Wisconsin and Iowa basic trading areas including Green Bay, Appleton/Oshkosh, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Madison, Fond du Lac, Janesville/Beloit, La Crosse, Eau Claire and Wausau/Stevens Point, Wis., and Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, Iowa.
