A Dec. 16 article regarding Motorola Inc.’s testing of the 8 kilobit-per-second enhanced variable rate vocoder should have stated that AirTouch Communications Inc. uses an 8 kbps vocoder in Los Angeles and a 13 kbps vocoder in San Diego.
