DETROIT – The Crain board of directors has named Keith E. Crain chairman of Crain Communications Inc.
Keith Crain becomes the third chairman of the company’s 81-year history. Founder G.D. Crain, Jr. served until 1973, followed by his wife, Gertrude R. Crain. Gertrude Crain passed away in July. Rance Crain continues as company president.
The company publishes 30 business, trade and consumer publications, including Advertising Age, Automotive News and RCR, and operates two radio stations from 16 offices worldwide.
