GERMANTOWN, Md.-Hughes Network Systems Inc. won the Universal Wireless Communications Consortium’s technology award at the consortium’s summit in Orlando last month.
Hughes received the Outstanding Innovation Award for its demonstrations of Interim Standard 136 features and benefits using the GMH 2000 MicroCell. The company will demonstrate Time Division Multiple Access at Wireless ’97 this week in San Francisco.
