BETHESDA, Md.-Comsat Corp.’s board of directors approved a plan to refocus the company on its core satellite and network services businesses.
The plan concentrates on the company’s international satellite services and digital networking services and technology, especially in developing and operating digital networks in emerging markets and in providing specialized services to customers with global requirements such as the U.S. Government. The company said it will sell all of the assets and operations of Comsat RSI Inc., which designs, manufactures and integrates earth stations as well as wireless and advanced antenna systems.
