ENGLAND-Orange plc said it had 894,000 subscribers on its wireless network at the end of March, representing an increase of 109,000 during the first quarter.
The company’s churn rate for the past twelve months was 19.1 percent, a figure the company said was in line with its expectations.
“We are pleased to confirm that we have maintained the progress reported at our preliminary financial results announcement. In the first quarter, we have continued our rapid growth while retaining the lowest churn rate in the industry,” said Hans Snook, group managing director of Orange. “Looking forward, we plan a number of new services to help maintain our momentum. These and the introduction of dual band handsets will further encourage Orange usage at home and abroad.”
