CHICAGO-Aerial Communications Inc. unveiled its new marketing campaign of TV, print, radio and outdoor ads in Columbus, Ohio, the company’s first commercial personal communications services market. Aerial plans to launch PCS service in Houston, Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Tampa-Orlando, Fla., in the coming months.
“If you were to equate our level of advertising spending in our markets to a national equivalent, it would be quite impressive,” said Jerry Rhodes, vice president of marketing and sales. “Doing this on an annualized basis, we would be spending at the level of a $150 million national campaign. We intend to make a big impact with our advertising.”
Aerial is emphasizing that it has no long-term contracts, provides per-second billing and doesn’t charge for extras.
