ATLANTA, Ga.-Digital Transmission Systems Inc. will provide its FlexSentry network management control product to PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P., said the company.
DTS said its equipment at cell sites and at mobile switching centers is linked with FlexSentry to allow operators to monitor the status of each line and site in the network.
“With the DTS FlexSentry system working in concert with the FlexT1 network access equipment already installed in the PrimeCo network last year, PrimeCo will be better able to provide the highest quality of service and availability to its customers,” said Dan Seitam, director of marketing for DTS. “In an industry where competition is increasing and annual churn has averaged 25 percent, the winners will be the providers who can proactively manage the delivery of the highest quality of service to their customers.”
PrimeCo, an alliance of AirTouch Communications Inc., Bell Atlantic Corp., Nynex Corp. and U S West Media Group, has licenses in 11 markets covering 60 million potential customers.
