TEMPE, Ariz.-AirTouch Cellular announced plans to move its customer service operation for the Southwest region from Bellevue, Wash., to Tempe, Ariz.
The site for the new 67,000-square-foot call center was chosen for its proximity to Arizona State University and Sky Harbor Airport, the company said. The center will also house the company’s Southwest market headquarters.
More than 150 new jobs will be created at the center. Current AirTouch employees will have the opportunity to relocate, the company said, and additional positions will be filled by area residents.
