TAMPA, Fla.-Batteries Batteries Inc. acquired Cliffco of Tampa Bay Inc., a distributor of wireless telephone accessories including a variety of batteries, which accounts for about 41 percent of its revenues.
Cliffco said its success over the past three years has hinged on product delivery times and value-added programs, including competitive warranty and hassle-free return policies. The company also said its in-house private label packaging program, which customizes packaging for any client in less than 48 hours, also has brought it success.
“Batteries Batteries and Cliffco are a perfect match,” said David Costilow, president of Cliffco. “Our goals for growth are very similar, and our combined knowledge of the industry will open up new markets for us. This acquisition will afford us a tremendous opportunity to leverage our skills to achieve that goal.”
Batteries Batteries Inc. operates through three subsidiaries: Battery Network/Tauber Electronics Inc. based in San Diego, Advanced Fox Cellular based in Philadelphia and Batteries Batteries for Everything based in Phoenix.
