SAN DIEGO-Qualcomm Inc. filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court in San Diego seeking a judicial determination that Qualcomm does not infringe on three patents held by U.S. Philips Corp.
The complaint says a dispute arose from Philips’ contention that the three patents cover certain features of Qualcomm’s products compatible with the Telecommunications Industry Association’s IS-95-A standard.
Qualcomm said it denies its products infringe on any of the patents, and the company said it further asserts that the patents are invalid.
