NOKIA AND MOBILIX ENTER CONTRACT

HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Telecommunications signed a contract with Mobilix, a subsidiary of the France Telecom Group, to supply a new Digital Cellular System 1800 MHz network in Denmark. Mobilix won a license to operate the Danish DCS 1800 mobile phone network in March.

The agreement includes Nokia’s mobile switching centers, base station controllers, the Nokia Base Station Transceiver and the Nokia DX 2200 switch for international fixed network connections. The network is scheduled to be operational in December.

The network will provide full data transmission support.
