RCR ANNOUNCES EDITORIAL CHANGES

RCR Publications Inc. recently hired two new reporters.

George Lurie has been hired as a reporter, covering the cellular beat, and Antony Bruno has been chosen to cover the paging industry beat. The company also named Kelly Pate copy editor.

Lurie, a graduate of the University of Colorado, came to RCR from Durango, Colo., where he had been working as a reporter and photographer for the Durango Herald.

During his 17-year career in journalism, Lurie also has worked as a reporter and photographer for the Denver Post and USA Today and as an editor for the Japan Times in Tokyo.

Lurie replaces reporter Linda Sakelaris, who has taken a reporting position at Pension & Investments.

RCR and Pension & Investments both are owned by Crain Communications Inc.

Pate, who had been reporting on the paging industry for the newspaper, has been named copy editor for the publication.

She replaces Jerry Blake, who took a marketing manager position with Boulder, Colo.-based Cellport Labs Inc.

Bruno is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Most recently, he has been working as an editor with the Weekly Times Chronicle, a weekly newspaper based in Parker, Colo.
