CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc.’s Integrated Network Group signed a letter of intent with Northern Telecom Ltd. to jointly market Glenayre’s MVP modular voice processing system with Nortel’s new DMS-Programmable Services Architecture.
Nortel’s product is an Intelligent Network service applications development platform that addresses the needs of public network service providers for customized service creation and rapid deployment of advanced telecommunication services, said the companies.
Under the agreement, Glenayre’s MVP enhanced services platform will be integrated with Nortel’s DMS switch, allowing the deployment of enhanced IN applications including voice and fax messaging, voice-activated services and a personal number service.
