ORLANDO, Fla.-Lightbridge Inc. and Trans Union Corp. announced the introduction of the Fraud Detect Model, a new fraud-scoring technology for the telecommunications industry.
The agreement with Trans Union, a consumer information company, will result in a fraud solution that offers risk assessment and scoring capabilities, said Lightbridge. According to the terms of the agreement, Lightbridge will customize and integrate Trans Union’s risk assessment and scoring technology with Fraud Detect, a multifaceted fraud detection tool-provided under a previous agreement with Trans Union-that analyzes an applicant’s social security number, date of birth, address, telephone number and drivers license information and identifies any discrepancies.
The Fraud Detect Model scoring technology will review Fraud Detect’s error messages, such as date of birth and social security number discrepancies, and apply alerts in the form of a numeric score that will represent the likelihood of fraud.
