MACON-WARNER ROBINS, Ga.-More than 300,000 residents here now have access to personal communications services, as Powertel Inc. launched its service last week.
The company uses Global System for Mobile communications technology with subscriber identity module cards. Powertel said it now provides commercial PCS in 19 metropolitan areas in its 12-state license area.
