McLEAN, Va.-Nextel Communications Inc. announced the rollout of an enhanced specialized mobile radio network in Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz., and Spokane, Wash.
The additions bring to 350 the number of cities serviced by Nextel, the company said. It also boasted an increase of 322,2000 digital subscriber units during last quarter, to a total of 946,000, a 315 percent increase from last year’s third quarter numbers.
