ALEXANDRIA, VA.-The Personal Communications Industry Association announced that the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Communications Society’s Wireless Communications Conference will be held in conjunction with PCIA’s Personal Communications Showcase ’99 Sept. 22-27 in New Orleans.
The official agreement was signed by PCIA President Jay Kitchen, IEEE’s Communications Society President Steve Weinstein, Tom Plevyak, president-elect; and Jack Howell, executive director.
The partnering of these two events gives the organizations a wireless menu that takes them full circle from development and engineering to management and research and to marketing and sales.
The IEEE Wireless Communications Conference is an international technical conference for engineers and researchers at the forefront of development and deployment of digital cellular, personal communications services and the full spectrum of supporting wireless technologies, said the organizations.
