ORLANDO, Fla.-Northern Telecom Inc. introduced an integrated text messaging system that simultaneously sends text to both wireless and wireline text-message compatible phones.
Nortel demonstrated the system at the Code Division Multiple Access North American Regional Congress Conference in Orlando, Fla., last week.
The system uses the company’s DMS-100 wireless integrated switching system, which integrates short message service for wireless networks with an analog display services interface for wireline networks.
