DTS Wireless unveiled its Wireless InBox addition to its line of ZAP-IT wireless messaging services.
The product is a one-mailbox solution that enables seamless wireless access to existing local area network- or Internet-based e-mail accounts vial landline or wireless connection, the company said. It also features a free message preview option before reading a complete message wirelessly and users can send and receive messages to and from fax machines, pagers and phones.
The product is compatible with wireless PC cards in laptops running Windows, handheld PCs running Windows CE and HP 100/200LX palmtops. The corporate fee for connection is $500-$1,000 and subscription charges per user are $10 to $100, depending on the usage plan. Individual connection costs $20.
