INFONXX DEPLOYS PRIORITY’S ORYX

WILMINGTON, MASS.-INFONXX, an enhanced directory assistance service provider, deployed Priority Call Management’s Oryx platform in a dozen sites nationwide, supporting three call centers.

INFONXX offers a range of operator assisted information services to wireless phone users, including 411Plus, which provides a variety of directory services from basic telephone numbers to travel and entertainment services.

The Oryx platform will save INFONXX’s wireless customers time and money by ensuring completion of all calls, Priority said. If the initial call center is unable to process the call, Oryx automatically routes the call to the next closest center. Customers also save by only placing one call instead of two. With the Oryx platform, there is no need to hang up and redial, subscribers just stay on the line while the call is placed.

Priority provides the digital switching equipment required to route incoming calls to the appropriate call center and outgoing calls to the requested destination.
