Sprint Spectrum L.P. has teamed up with former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and NFL Hall of Famer, Franco Harris, in a regional advertising campaign named after his 1972 game-winning catch, the “Immaculate Reception,” that sent the Steelers to the playoffs for the first time. Touting Sprint PCS’ clarity and voice quality, the billboard is visible to this year’s visiting playoff team on the road into Pittsburgh from the airport, said Steve Wayhart, a Sprint PCS marketing director. Harris is the exclusive regional wireless spokesman for Sprint PCS in Pittsburgh, also appearing in print and radio advertisements.
