GERMANTOWN, Md.-Hughes Network Systems Inc. announced its subsidiary, Hughes Software Systems, has signed a nonexclusive agreement with Sun Microsystems Inc. to build solutions around Sun’s Solstice Enterprise Manager and Solstice Telecommunications Management Network products.
Under the agreement, Hughes will provide mediation devices and services including software development, consulting and turnkey integration to telecom equipment suppliers and service companies. Sun will provide support to Hughes through marketing, joint sales and transfer of expertise. The center for the initiative will be HSS headquarters in Electronic City, Gurgaon, a suburb of New Delhi.
