SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Motorola Inc.’s Platform Software Division announced add-on software applications for the PageWriter 2000 two-way pager that can provide schedule and alert upgrades to the device.
The Personal Productivity Pack includes the Scheduler 2000 and Alert 2000, both end-user installable software applications. The Scheduler 2000 allows users to schedule notification alarms and the Alert 2000 feature lets users customize the volume, notes, duration and other features of pre-written musical alerts, as well as send those tunes to other pagers.
The package will be available in February through software resellers on the Internet for a suggested retail price of $16, the company said.
Users can download the software to their computer and, in turn, download the pager applications from their computer to their pager.
