MURRAY HILL, N.J.-Lucent Technologies Inc. announced it received several contracts, totaling nearly $100 million, for Code Division Multiple Access systems in California, Georgia and South Carolina.
Central Wireless Partnership purchased $50 million in equipment to construct personal communications services networks in the Fresno, Modesto and Stockton, Calif., markets, the company said. A group of three cellular companies based in Georgia-Hargray Wireless L.P., Georgia Independent PCS and Savannah Independent PCS-said they would spend $44.8 million with Lucent over the next five years for CDMA network infrastructure equipment.
