AERIAL’S 1997 YIELDS 125,000 PCS USERS

CHICAGO-Aerial Communications Inc. cited strong holiday sales and the November launch of its Orlando, Fla., market as factors that helped the company nearly double its customer base during the fourth quarter, ended Dec. 31, finishing 1997 with around 125,000 active personal communications services customers.

“We began this business only last March,” said Don Warkentin, Aerial’s president and chief executive officer, “and now are among the few PCS companies in the country to have more than 100,000 customers.”

Aerial also reported that despite its substantial rate of customer growth, it was able to maintain revenue per user of $70 per month during the quarter.
