LISLE, Ill.-Tellabs won a contract to supply its MartisDXX managed access and transport network solution to Indian mobile network operator Spice Telecom for its Global System for Mobile communications cellular networks in Karnataka and Punjab states, announced Tellabs.
The initial contract, valued at $1 million, was awarded through Motorola India and is expected to be completed this month.
Spice Telecom is installing the MartisDXX system to provide end-to-end management of leased trunk facilities for its transport network, Tellabs said. The solution also will provide distributed interconnection points to the public fixed network.
